Well, r-r-r-roll up the rim is all over with for the most part. They are back to regular cups at all the tim hortons (hortonses?) that I frequent. So you know what this means? Statistics time.
I bought 34 regular coffees, and from those, I won 3 free coffees. I won zero donuts this year. I didn't win any SUV's either. This means I just fell short of the tim hortons claim that 1 in 9 cups is a prize winner.
Assuming a large tim hortons coffee is around 475 mL (thats about the size of a 16-oz paper cup) , then I drank a little over 16 litres in order to win a free litre-and-a-half. So basically, I had to drink the volume of a motorcycle's gasoline tank in coffee in order to get 3 free cups of coffee. Sadly, this year is the best I have ever done at this game. I hope I do better next year.
Furthermore, it cost me $51.00 CAD to earn $4.50 worth of coffee.. What a world!
